Outreach
The Department of Biological Sciences has a commitment to outreach. Outreach is that effort undertaken by our faculty along with our main outreach partner, Cooperative Extension, in getting the lessons learned in the lab out to the citizens of our state where they can apply this knowledge in their daily lives. Outreach efforts by the college today include many other partnerships as well as our traditional one with Cooperative Extension. Our faculty often find themselves wearing several hats these days; one for teaching, one for research and one for outreach. This effort to reach out is not a new one; it dates back to the founding days of the University on New Hampshire in the 19th century. And it helps us chart a course into the 21st century.
